Dyes - Should I Avoid Them?

Should I avoid using products with dyes? Yes if you’re sensitive to them or prone to dark spots and other pigmentations. Many dyes (particularly “azo“-dyes) are both allergens photo-allergens—stimulated by light to cause photosensitivity and darkening. They can also cause irritant and allergic contact dermatitis. The risk increases when combined with other allergens.

All VMV HYPOALLERGENICS® skin care, active treatment cosmeceuticals, hair, body + bath products are dye-free, and our Skintelligent Beauty Makeup has oodles of dye-free shades.
